Will Gojo Make a Comeback Before Jujutsu Kaisen Ends? Let’s Find Out!

Gojo making a comeback?

Fans have been waiting for the moment Satoru Gojo graces Jujutsu Kaisen with his presence again. With the manga ending this September, fans are concerned if they’ll be able to see their favorite sensei again. While the Strongest Sorcerer of Today hasn’t made his grand entrance in JJK 269, fans of the series have found strong evidence of his comeback in the future.

The death of Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236 was one of the series’ defining moments. It changed the story so much that fans are still coping—creating theories and fiction to bring Gojo back to life (and Sukuna to the graveyard). Though his death was clear, fans still hold on until the series closes its curtains.

Fortunately for the coping fans, JJK 269 has some exciting clues. The chapter wasn’t a let-down either as it revealed Yuta’s fate after going toe-to-toe in Gojo’s body against Sukuna, the King of Curses. After giving it all against Sukuna and saving the rest of humanity, fans are happy to see that at least one of the strongest sorcerers in Jujutsu found his happy ending. Even Higuruma found his way back with the rest of the squad! The aftermath of the Shinjuku Showdown arc provided many exciting updates, but there’s this one detail that fans may have accidentally overlooked amidst the hype.

Is Gojo’s Return Imminent? Theory Sparks as Fans Decode Hidden Clues in JJK 269

Is Gojo poised for a comeback?

On the 14th page of JJK 269, while Kusakabe and the sorcerers are discussing the secrets of the New Shadow Style, readers see a close-up of a grandfather clock. The clock reads 2:21, and that’s already enough for theorists to say that this could indicate Gojo’s potential return. If you’re an avid reader of the series, JJK 221 marked the return of the Strongest Sorcerer after being freed from Kenjaku and his group’s Prison Realm.

Gege Akutami is an amazing author who can wrap readers around his fingers. However, fans are starting to doubt Gege after killing off some of their favorite characters in the series like Nanami, Choso, and Gojo himself. The clock and the time may be an elaborate ploy from Gege to trick the fans, but after Yuta, Megumi, and Nobara’s return, who’s to close the doors on Gojo’s potential revival?

But that wasn’t all from the fans! The clues even extend to the clock’s second hand, which is moving towards the 29th second. We speculate that this could also mean that Gojo will live and turn 29 soon.

Twitter fans, however, are connecting this to the Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition. The exhibition indicated that Gojo is turning 29 soon—the age Buddha left his comfortable and authoritative royal life and family to find enlightenment. These similarities between Gojo and Buddha have sparked hope in the fans, who believe that the legend of the Strongest Sorcerer “Alive” is not yet over.

Between Hope and Reality: Fans Divided Over Gojo’s Possible Return in Jujutsu Kaisen

Gojo is back in chapter 260

A little bit of cope-ium never hurt anyone. But after almost 50 chapters of coping, these fans still have hope. That has to be something only Jujutsu Kaisen fans can do! For the die-hard fans, the question to ask isn’t if Gojo will return, but when.

Gege Akutami has been hinting at his comeback for a long time. Because of his little hints, fans are creating theories left and right about binding vows, losing his Six Eyes, and whatnot. This, however, proves to be a theory of another caliber, and fans are hopping on this bandwagon fast.

200 IQ reply since it included a panel from the recent JJK 269! The parallels between the clock and the manga are undeniable, and @BIGDADDYGOJO might truly be cooking. Usually, fans shut down theories for their lack of evidence. This theory being accepted in the first place is already a feat in itself!

As much as Gege wants fans to believe that their favorite sensei is dead, his characters seemingly don’t. For the past 33 chapters, no character has acknowledged or declared Gojo’s death. Choso’s death seems to have been uttered by Yuji and the others, but never Gojo’s, which is entirely suspicious. Either they all just forgot about Gojo’s contributions to the war, or they know they still have the chance to thank him…face-to-face.

Of course, any theory isn’t complete without a non-believer—and, honestly, understandably so. Gojo has been gone for far too long, and the chances of his return have become slimmer with the passing of every chapter. He died happy as well, so a lot of fans are content with the ending that he got. Cope-ium doesn’t need to be inhaled by every fan, and some are actually growing tired of these theories.
