JJK 261 Leaks: Gojo’s Return And Yuta’s Ultimate Trump Card

JJK 261 LEAKS

Holy moly! If you thought Jujutsu Kaisen was already wild these past few weeks, then brace yourself for even more craziness. With the release of JJK 261 leaks, we finally know whether or not Gojo’s back—and you’re in for a big surprise. To all you blue-eyed lovers out there, looks like the love of your life is back in action… just through other means.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 260 ended with a snippet of Gojo Satoru seemingly back in JJK town. Of course, fans aren’t quick to accept this “gift” laid out by Gege Akutami who’s known for playing with his fans (and that’s an understatement). However, with the world hanging on a thread and Jujutsu sorcerers barely standing up to Sukuna, there really could only be one man who could change the universe’s fate, and that’s Six Eyes himself. But is he really, really back? Or is he even siding with the good guys?

What Happened in JJK 261?

jjk 261 Yuta uses kenjaku's technique

JJK 261 begins with how you’d expect it: Yuji and Sukuna duking it out like in JJK 260. Ready for his millionth Domain Expansion, Sukuna suddenly sees Gojo standing out in the open but shrugs it off and tells himself that him being “actually” back is impossible. But suddenly, the King of Curses realizes what in the heck just happened. He yells, “I apologize for underestimating you! I didn’t know you were capable of going that far, YUTA OKKOTSU!” You heard that right! Yuta is in Gojo’s body using Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique. Props to Gege for making this body switch even more unpredictable than the one in Chapter 212!

In a flashback, this plan was created to be Yuta’s trump card and Jujutsu sorcerers’ last hope. The plan consists of Rika devouring Kenjaku to obtain his Cursed Technique, allowing Yuta to control other bodies. While Maki and some other sorcerers are against this plan, Hakari isn’t opposed to it—seeing it as their last resort.

Kusakabe questions Shoko if Yuta can copy Limitless or Six Eyes, but she says that Limitless is nothing without Six Eyes. Unfortunately, Six Eyes is ingrained in Gojo’s physical body, making copying impossible. Maki was only concerned for Yuta and how dangerous it would be for him to copy Kenjaku’s technique considering he can only copy it for five minutes.

Yuta didn’t have a concrete answer, but Mei Mei theorized that Yuta would die immediately, die eventually, or miraculously use Limitless for more than five minutes. There’s also a possibility that Yuta can get stuck inside Gojo’s body and lose his technique.

As you may remember, Yuta is now Yu/ta after suffering the same fate as his sensei: sliced in half during the earlier chapters. But thanks to Arata’s CT and Rika’s overwhelming energy, he is conscious but is already reaching his limit.

As the chapter continues, Shoko is then seen telling Yuta that Gojo’s corpse is stitched up and ready for action (Yikes!). The only thing missing is for Yuta to inhabit it through Kenjaku’s CT and use Reverse Cursed Technique to complete the regeneration. Jumping to the present, it’s like we never left the Shinjuku Showdown Arc with Sukuna using Malevolent Shrine and Yuta using Gojo’s Unlimited Void all over again. And with that, let round two commence!

Gojo Fans Confront the Heartbreaking Truth

Gojo fans are heartbroken over JJK 261

Truly, this is peak Jujutsu Kaisen! Two domains of the highest level clashing, intricate planning from the sorcerers, big revelations—how can you not love it? However, the fact of the matter may have gone over fans’ heads. This chapter confirms Gojo Satoru’s death. Yuta used Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique, and the technique’s process in and of itself requires a dead body to inhabit and control. Sorry for your loss, Gojo fans!

The awaited return of the “Strongest Sorcerer of Today” might not be the one fans expected, but it’s the one needed to finish the story. Though it isn’t the justifiably arrogant blue-eyed sensei we all know and love, Twitter is going through an absolute uproar with “#Gojo,” “#Yuta,” “#jjk261,” and “#Gege” all trending. Here’s what Twitter fans had to say about everyone’s favorite sensei’s death:

Gojo Satoru was a true weapon of mass destruction. Blessed with overpowered techniques that can go toe-to-toe with the King of Curses, he was the only being to have a chance of saving the world on his own. One Twitter user said, “gojo spending his whole life being treated as a weapon, ppl only seeing him as the strongest & not like a human being. him dying but even in death hes not allowed to rest bc his body is still being used by others like hes just a tool…i just dk how to feel abt this #jjk261

It’s a hard pill to swallow for anyone, especially knowing how some of Gojo’s closest friends and peers like Shoko and Yuta were okay with using his body as an asset to the war. But they all know that this is what they need to win it.

Gojo would have allowed it too! Right now, the sorcerers need to focus on defeating Sukuna. Gojo’s students are doing everything they can to achieve that goal. In a way, he would’ve even been proud of them for staking their lives and doing whatever they can to get a win over the King of Curses. These students have truly grown up. They’re taking these hard decisions for the good of the world, just like their dear ol’ sensei used to! One Tweet said, “Yuta, has to become like the one he hates in order to win for the people he loves.”

The only information fans are waiting for is Nobara’s current status! Seeing Yuta use Kenjaku’s CT also confirms his death when Yuta sliced his head off in Chapter 243. Since Jujutsu Kaisen‘s running low on lovable characters, it may be time for Gege to bring out the big guns—or the hammer and nails. *wink*

Fans can take a breather after this thrilling yet heartbreaking chapter as the manga will be on a break next week. Maybe there’s even more to come when Gege gets his rest. All things considered, Jujutsu Kaisen 261 will go down in the history books as one of the most hyped and talked about manga chapters…so far!
