JJK 268: The Endgame of Jujutsu Kaisen Begins With Epic Returns and a Shocking Defeat

Jujutsu Kaisen

Well, well, well, what do we have here? JJK 268 leaks have finally arrived, and the end is certainly looming. Titled “Conclusion,” this chapter of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga plans to slam doors shut and end fan theories and speculations. JJK 267 brought tons of action and an emotional comeback, continuing the epicness Gege Akutami has delivered for the last few months. This time, another return is set to shock fans and force them out of their seats.

JJK 267 was anything but boring! It saw Nobara rejoining the fray and putting the nail in the coffin on Sukuna’s final finger, to which fans were greatly receptive. Not wanting to be left out, Yuji put up his end of the bargain as he continued to wreak havoc on Sukuna. Just when fans thought things could not be better, JJK 268 was served hot by Gege Akutami on the Jujutsu Kaisen gourmet table.

JJK 268: Sukuna’s Defeat and the Trio’s Amazing Reunion

JJK 268 Trio

JJK 268 starts with Sukuna talking to Megumi’s soul. The King of Curses reminds Megumi of all the unfortunate events since taking over his body—from killing his sister to rejecting Yuji’s help earlier in the series. All Sukuna wanted was for Megumi to throw away his hope of living a proper life…until Megumi said: “I think I’ll try to live for someone else one more time.

Cue Yuji Itadori in the present, where JJK 267 left off with a huge Black Flash, as his domain crumbles. However, Yuji’s domain isn’t the only thing that collapses, Sukuna’s connection with Megumi also severs. As Yuji looks down on Sukuna’s remains, he offers the King of Curses another chance to return to his body and live without cursing anyone anymore. Enraged at Yuji, Sukuna reminds him that he is a curse as his remains fade from Yuji’s palms.

The scene changes to Hakari and Uraume, a fight fans unfortunately never got to see. Uraume realizes that Sukuna has been defeated, telling Hakari that there is nothing left for them to fight for anymore. Uraume continues to say that they only got lucky, to which Hakari replies: “I was just lucky huh…That’s the highest praise I could receive.

JJK 268 then continues with Yuji and Nobara greeting Megumi as he wakes up. They try to pull the famous “Oppappi prank.” Fans never thought they’d see this day again… the trio is finally back!

The three then head outside and Yuji takes out two letters from Gojo addressed to Nobara and Megumi for them to read. Nobara’s letter contained information about her mother’s whereabouts, which she didn’t care about. Megumi, on the other hand, was laughing at his letter that said Gojo was responsible for his father’s death.

Cutting the reunion short, the trio heads back to meet with Maki, Panda, Toge, and the others to check up on Yuta. The chapter ends with the narrator saying: “Is Okkotsu alright? Three more chapters until the finale.”

X/Twitter Reacts to JJK 268: As the End Looms, Fans Celebrate the Defeat and the Reunion

JJK 268 leaks were a rollercoaster. It was as if Sukuna had taken control of Megumi’s body yesterday, and now the two have been ripped away. This is also the first time Jujutsu Kaisen fans have seen the trio back in full force—joking around like they were back in Tokyo Jujutsu High. With so many things happening in JJK 268, X (formerly Twitter) had just as much to say about the chapter leaks.

With all the takeaways from JJK 268, Sukuna’s defeat was, by far, the most talked about. Fans were waiting for this man’s downfall, so their reactions were valid. One fan tweeted: “sukuna fans clowned gojo for getting split in half but at least he still looked pretty, sukuna got turned into a ball of slime im cryin #jjk268

One of JJK 268’s greatest moments was Megumi’s return to the series! After waiting almost two years for his comeback, which even fans weren’t sure of, he finally got out of Sukuna’s grasp. Seeing him alive is one thing, but seeing him smiling, happy, and together with his friends is a scene fans were willing to cry for. There’s an X account that counts the days of how long Megumi was gone (@howlonghegone), and after 571 days, they finally get to say this: “MEGUMI FUSHIGURO HAS BEEN RELEASED!!!!! ALWAYS BELIEVED IN YOU KING

JJK 268 doesn’t only mark the defeat of Sukuna and the return of Megumi, but it also marks the gang getting back together! After Nobara’s “death” during the Shibuya Incident arc, the trio was never completed again…until today! Jujutsu Kaisen built a foundation with these three during the beginning of the series, and it looks like Gege Akutami plans to end it with them as well. Nevertheless, welcome back, our glorious trio! A Jujutsu Kaisen fan replied: “Absolutely, the anticipation makes their reunion even more impactful. The payoff after such a long wait really hits hard.
